NEW RULE FOR ALL QUALIFIERS FOR CATEGORY CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR THE 2009 SEASON AND BEYOND: As of the end of the 2009 show season in Quebec City, QUE, the weekend of April 5, 2009, any qualified entry planning on attending their respective Category Championship will not be allowed to change their qualified entry before their Category Championship. For more detailed clarification of this rule, please contact Bob Millard at ISCA at (248) 371-1600 or by email: bob@theisca.com.
Everyone that shows in an ISCA sanctioned event automatically becomes an ISCA member. There is a $50 registration fee to enter each show. If a car owner wishes to enter two entries that are legally registered to the same car owner, they will pay $25 for the second entry.
Exhibitors are welcome to show in any ISCA Sanctioned Show in the country. To win a class championship, an entry must win its class at least four (4) times. Two of these shows must be a smaller show (“A”) and two must be a larger show (“AA”). For an entry to qualify for a Category Championship, the entry must win at least four (4) Bests or Outstandings in its category during the preceding ISCA season. There will be five ISCA champions declared annually at pre-determined shows during the season. The first ISCA season will run from March 28-30, 2008 through April 3-5, 2009 in Quebec City. The first Category Championship will be held in Houston, TX on Thanksgiving in 2009. The category has not been determined as of this writing.
As stated above, there will be five Category championships annually. They will consist of Custom, Rod, Truck, Restored and Street Machine Comp. The Bike category will be handled on a show-to-show basis as our history shows quite a number of bikes show in each show, but very few travel from show to show.
Starting with this next season, there will no longer be a Display championship. The Display awards will be given at each show. Each Display award will consist of a plaque and $100. The non-electrical display and the 10X20 Display awards will have a plaque only.
In an effort to put some consistency in the monies paid out to our competitors, the ISCA has set mandatory payouts for different size shows.
The Shreveport O'Reilly World of Wheels will:
- Pay $500 for Best of Category Awards
- Pay $200 For Outstanding of Category Awards
- Award 6 Display awards at $100 each
Travel money will be paid at the rate of $.50/mile to any exhibitor that travels at least 150 miles one way from his residence to an ISCA show up to 1,000 miles one way. Exhibitors must obtain apporval from the Producer prior money to be paid.
If you have any questions about any of this, please feel free to contact Bob Millard, General Manager of ISCA at (248) 371-1600 or email Bob at bob@theisca.com for further clarification.
